Ryan Taylor and Gretchen Hileman are the imaginations, instrumentalists, and recording engineers of Sauvignon.  Their style comes from a combination of both common and uncommon musical influences as well as their love for simply playing musical instruments.  Attempting to place their sound within a specific genre is ultimately impossible.  Their imagination presents itself on-the-fly never allowing anything but the moment to influence what sound they will be producing that day.  "We never know what we're gong to get until we plug in our guitars.  We just love to play instruments more than anything else in the world.", states both Taylor and Hileman.  “We have decided to use Sauvignon as our creative outlet.  We love to embrace the moment and fortunately music is truly the only way to share those moments with others.  Sure, our goal is to complete songs and sounds, but there are those amazing times in the studio when a simple jam to get us warmed up radiates an energy so warm and pure, we feel we have no choice but to post them up as well.  We are very proud of what we’re accomplishing.
